Beira Rio Agroindustrial Ltda has a history dating back to the 1960s when it began as Matadouro e Frigorífico Olhos D’Água Ltda in Ipuã, São Paulo. Initially, in addition to slaughtering operations, the company also had a rendering facility for processing by-products. As bone collection grew and expansion became necessary, the owners moved the rendering facility to the Santa Rita farm in 1992, establishing it as an independent unit, thereby founding Beira Rio Agroindustrial.
Today, Beira Rio Agroindustrial occupies an area of over 8,000 square meters and has a production capacity of around 5,000 tons per month, producing tallow, mixed meat and bone meal, and blood meal. The company is part of a group that includes Matadouro e Frigorífico Olhos D’Água and other meat industries and rural areas in São Paulo, Goiás, and Mato Grosso.
Under the leadership of Luciane Maria Giroldo Tazinaffo, Beira Rio stands out not only for its production capacity but also for its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Over its history, it has faced challenges, such as the fire in 2005 that destroyed its industrial facilities, but with resilience, it rebuilt its operations and expanded its market share.
With a focus on the future and an eye on environmental and market requirements, Beira Rio Agroindustrial continues to invest in technology and improvements in its production processes, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the animal rendering sector.
