The year was 1964 when 55 small farmers from Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina came together in the former Gleba dos Bispos, where the municipality of Missal (PR) is now located, to cultivate the land, raise livestock, extract timber, and trade agricultural inputs. Thanks to continuous professionalization and a forward-looking vision, the group was gradually restructured, in a process that culminated in agro-industrialization in the 1990s and, since 2017, in integrated management based on three superintendencies: Administrative and Financial, Agricultural Business, and Supplies and Foods.
With continuous improvement, collective decision-making, qualified leadership, and strong Boards of Directors and Fiscal Councils, Lar continues to make history, expanding its businesses and achieving year-on-year growth. The company closed 2024 with revenues exceeding 20 billion reais.
