The Fasa Group, founded in 1983, has evolved from a small family business into the largest independent animal rendering group in Latin America.
Acquired in 2022 by Darling Ingredients, the global leader in fat protein production, it transforms waste into products and energy. The recycling of animal by-products, which uses waste as raw material, meets the criteria of the Circular Economy, aligned with the principles of the National Solid Waste Policy, recognizing recyclable waste as an economic good of social value. Our industry prevents waste from being improperly disposed of in the environment and has the added benefit of generating water—around 700,000,000 liters in 2022—with low carbon emissions. We recycle rainwater, use biomass for steam generation, and add value to fertigation activities by producing firewood for energy and hay for cattle feed.
Product Quality We strive for excellence at every stage of our production processes. Through animal rendering activities, thousands of tons of waste are collected and processed at our industrial plants, turning them into new raw materials for other supply chains, such as animal feed, hygiene and cleaning products, and even for biofuel production.
Market and Operations The Fasa Group maintains commercial relationships in Brazil and exports globally, with notable markets including the United States, South Africa, Argentina, and Chile, among others.
